It is the belief of the Roman Catholic Church that, after the prayers of consecration at Mass, the bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To Receive Communion
Most communicants prefer to receive communion in the hand, while others prefer communion on the tongue. Whichever you prefer, the Eucharist is to be consumed immediately and must be received with utmost reverence.
If you have not been active in practicing your faith for some time or if you are in a state of serious (mortal) sin, the Church's instruction is that you receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Sacrament is offered every Saturday from 9 AM - 10 AM. This will restore your relationship with God and the Church. You are then welcome to receive communion.
Sadly, we are not yet in full communion with Christians of other denominations. Therefore, only individuals who are of the Roman, Latin or Eastern Catholic Rites are permitted to receive Communion.
