One month from now, January 24 through January 28, 2019, our Parish DRE, Jorge Santibáñez, will be leading a group of 15 parishioners/pilgrims to World Youth Day 2019 in Panama.

Originally started by Saint Pope John Paul II in 1985, World Youth Days are held internationally every two to three years and bring together young people from around the world to celebrate the richness and beauty of our Catholic faith in union with the Holy Father, our bishops, and with one another. In Summer 2016, COTLF sent its first group of pilgrims to a World Youth Day gathering, that year held in Krakow, Poland. Our pilgrims and their chaperones encountered Christ and His Church in extraordinary and powerful ways, so much so that many of them remain actively involved in the ministerial life of the parish today and quickly signed up again for WYD 2019!

We are thrilled to once again send a group of pilgrims from our parish to these important and historic experiences of Church and we need help with one final fundraising push! Donations of any amount are welcome to help the group close out its goal of $5,000. Please contact Jorge Santibáñez for details. In this final month before their departure, please also keep our pilgrims in your prayers as they prepare for another life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ! Our 2019 Pilgrims thank you!

A Message from our WYD Pilgrims

Hola!
