Fr. Andrew’s Farewell Mass & Reception

After two years at the Church of the Little Flower as parochial vicar and four years of priestly ministry, the Holy Spirit, through Archbishop Wenski, has called me to the next step of the missionary journey. I am honored and excited that Archbishop Wenski has entrusted me to serve St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish in Coral Springs as parish administrator. I am looking forward to meeting my new parishioners and to serving as a Father in a profound new way with responsibility for the parish. Any move is bittersweet since I will greatly miss the community of Little Flower which has taken me in as one of their own. I will miss the priests who have lived with me and the people who have allowed me to minister to them and have ministered to me. I will especially miss Fr. Manny Alvarez who has been a mentor, a father, and a friend. I step into the shoes of the founder, Fr. Edward Michael Kelly, who has served St. Elizabeth Ann Seton faithfully for 39 years. That casts a long shadow for this new administrator who will only be the second in the history of the parish. Yet, I know that God is faithful and all my hope is in Him. My new assignment begins on July 1.

Father Andrew will celebrate his farewell Mass next Sunday, June 16th, at 10:30am, to be followed by a light reception in Comber Hall. Please join us in thanking Father Andrew for his ministry and service to the parish.
